High Performance Broadband Pyramid Microwave Absorber

 

PFA (Pyramid Foam Absorber) is a series of polyurethane foam impregnated with carbon black and flame retardant treatment.It has good electrical properties, flame retardant properties and physical properties.It is the main material for building a microwave anechoic chamber.Short Pyramid can also be used inside the device to absorb clutter.The material can be processed into different shapes according to the shape of the anechoic chamber, performance requirements and use parts.

Properties:

 

PFA is the most commonly used anechoic absorber material, with good normal incidence, oblique incidence, scattering and transmission attenuation performance in a wide frequency range.

When the ratio of material thickness to operating wavelength d/λ is 0.4, 1, 2.5 and 8, the reflectivity at normal incidence reaches -20, -30, -40 and -50dB.

The oblique incidence is within 30° of the incident angle, and the reflectivity does not change much.

At 60°, the reflectivity is 10-15dB higher than at normal incidence.

Pyramid shape is neat, beautiful and clean, soft and bendable.

Foam pyramid absorbers with a height of less than 100mm can be used to absorb clutter inside small anechoic boxes or electronic equipment.

When the ratio of material thickness to operating wavelength d/λ is 0.3 and 0.7, the reflectivity at normal incidence reaches about -17 and -30 dB.

PFA is not suitable for outdoor use and has no requirements for substrates.
